Foresight Practitioner Conference 2025

The Foresight Practitioner Conference (FPC) brings together preeminent forecasting practitioners and business leaders in a small setting to network, learn, and explore emerging and cutting-edge aspects of forecasting. The conference focuses on collaborating and improving forecast practice by showcasing businesses, subject matter experts, and organizations that significantly impact value. The conference is hosted by the International Institute of Forecasters (IIF) and includes an IIF Award for the Impact of Forecasting in Practice to the winning companies or institutions.

Foresight Practitioner Conference – Future of Forecasting and the M6 Competition

The conference will cover many critical and emerging aspects of forecasting, including the role of AI and large language models, forecasting for the new era and the changing role of the forecaster, how to best measure the performance of your forecasts, and the value of the results from forecasting competitions in practice. In particular, the findings of the M6 financial forecasting competition will be presented.

Professor Spyros Makridakis and organizers of the M6 competition will elaborate on the winning methods and their practical implications. The conference program will include talks from distinguished speakers from major software/technology companies, as well as known academics from top-level universities. It will feature presentations of the three most accurate methods of the M6 Competition by the developers themselves who will also discuss how their methods can be implemented by others.
