Farewell and Thank you
After 14 years as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Forecasting (IJF), Professor Rob Hyndman has decided to step down. The IIF Board wishes to congratulate Professor Hyndman for a very successful tenure at the helm of the journal, and thank him for his untiring service over more than a decade. His vision and hard work brought the IJF to new heights. Today, the IJF with its emphasis on multidisciplinary outreach stands as the reference journal for forecasters across many disciplines. In addition, the Board would like to thank him for his dedication, creative energy and service to the IIF. His departure will be missed, but we wish him the best in all his endeavors.
The IIF Board has appointed Professor Esther Ruiz as interim Editor-in-Chief of the IJF. Esther is Professor of Econometrics at the Universidad Carlos III, Madrid. We welcome Professor Esther Ruiz to the IIF Board and we wish her great success on leading the IJF.
