Deutsche Bundesbank’s Research Centre and the International Institute of Forecasters are hosting the Conference on Real-Time Data Analysis, Methods, and Applications in Macroeconomics in Eltville, Germany, on October 24-25, 2025. The conference brings together leading researchers in real-time economic analysis, and encompasses nowcasting, high-frequency data, surveys, macro-econometrics, data revisions, and macroeconomic policy.
We welcome submissions, empirical and theoretical, especially on (but not limited to) the following areas:
- Monitoring and forecasting of economic and financial developments, including the use of high-frequency,
survey, and granular data - Using preliminary and revised data in economic policy formulation and analysis
- Machine learning applications in real-time macroeconomics
- Probabilistic forecasts and assessments of crisis risks (financial, macroeconomic, climate, etc.)
- Related innovative data sets and toolboxes

The deadline for paper submissions is May 11, 2025. Successful authors will be notified by end of June 2025. Please submit your draft paper here.
Expenses
It would be our pleasure to invite you to our conference center in Eltville. If your company policies do not allow for the cost to be covered, it would be helpful if you could let us know prior to the event. Academic presenters are also reimbursed for travel costs, subject to a cap. Travel costs will not be covered for central bank participants.
