In response to the rapidly growing interest in water, energy and environmenT forecasting, the IIF is pleased to launch the Section on Water, Energy and Environment (SWEET). SWEET welcomes researchers and practitioners across the globe to work together on various aspects of forecasting problems concerning water, energy and environment.
SWEET will be chaired by Dr. Tao Hong (University of North Carolina at Charlotte), with Dr. Richard Povinelli (Marquette University) as the vice chair and Dr. Jooyoung Jeon (Bath University) as the secretary.
SWEET has planned to organize a two-day track during the ISF in Thessaloniki, Greece, June 16-19, 2019. This track will host all sessions and talks related to water, energy and environment. In addition to meeting annually at the ISFs, SWEET will be organizing forecasting competitions and workshops.
The subscription to SWEET News Letter is OPEN to both IIF members and nonmembers who are interested in career opportunities, events, and recent advancements in water, energy and environment forecasting.
