2016 Foresight Practitioner Conference, North Carolina State University

The Fall 2016 Foresight Practitioner Conference, October 5-6, 2016, Raleigh, North Carolina

Foresight has teamed up with the Advanced Analytics Institute at North Carolina State University (NCSU) in Raleigh to offer a tantalizing 1.5-day conference:

Worst Practices in Forecasting: Today’s Mistakes to Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs

The greatest leap forward for our forecasting/planning functions lies not in squeezing an extra trickle of accuracy from our methods and procedures, but rather in RECOGNIZING AND ELIMINATING PRACTICES THAT DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD—practices often overlooked or shrugged aside that have in many instances plagued the field for decades.

Of course, this is easier said than done. Our speakers—experienced planners, consultants, and scholars—will lead you to uncover and discard widespread policies, behaviors, and procedures that hinder forecasting performance.

Our registration website will go online in January 2016. So reserve those dates in your calendar —October 5–6, 2016—and you’ll find detailed conference information in our Winter 2016 issue and on our website.
